Spiral wire binding consists of a single filament of wire installed through round or oval holes. While metal is the base material utilized, spiral bindings are nylon coated to provide a variety of colors. Spiral wire binding is the oldest type of mechanical binding and has traditionally been considered a low-cost alternative to other types of bindings. Hole spacing for spiral wire binding varies from 5 holes per inch to 2.5 holes per inch depending upon product thickness. |
